FAQ

Shoe Design

Where can I find images for my shoe design?

Everywhere! You can upload a photo or even make your own personal design.  Get creative, we love seeing individual designs.

Will you produce any design?

While we do not condone any offensive material, we also do not believe it is our place to judge what you as an individual have designed on your own shoe.

How long does it take to produce my shoes?

We strive to have orders out as soon as possible but there is a general 3 to 9 business day despatch time.  Western Australia and International orders may take longer for delivery, please see below for shipping estimates.  If you have an urgent order please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request, this may incur an additional charge.

How large do my images need to be?

There is no size restriction on the image you would like to use.  But obviously the higher the quality of an image the better the results.  If you use a very small image, and try to expand that across the entire shoe you will end up with a very pixelated shoe design.  We recommend using an image of at least 600x600px with a file size no larger than 10MB.

Do I have to put a design on both sides?

No!  In our experience having four panels of a very complex design can actually be overwhelming.  We find having a simple design on one side mixed with a more complex design on the other works out great.  However you are free to design anyway you choose, this is your personal creation!

Can you help me design a shoe?

Yes! However design services do incur an additional charge and require payment upfront.  Send an email to admin@bumpshoes.com and we can help you out.  We recommend checking out the inspiration gallery or our Instagram account if you are stuck on your design.  Our tip is to think of what YOU think is cool and go from there!  If you think something is awesome, it's gonna be awesome on a shoe as well.  Like carrots? Then do a carrot design!  There is a very slim chance you will encounter someone who has designed the exact same shoe as yourself!

Can I design over the entire shoe?

You can have a design on four panels in total; the left and right side of each shoe.  Unfortunately we do not have the capability for designs to be placed on the tongue, back strip, lace eyelets, toe cap, rubber side wall & soles.  We recommend keeping important aspects of images away from the very rear heel area of the shoe as it can have a slight fade as it is not flat.

Will my design be exactly as the editor indicates?

The custom shoe editor gives a very close indication of what your shoe will look like. Currently it is near impossible to make an exact replica of what you see on your screen.  Due to differences between RGB and CMYK colour reproduction and also the calibration of the monitor you view the image on, there will be variances between the image and the actual product.  Fluro colours can not be replicated in CMYK colour, as well as many other shades or hues.  The nearest available colour is substituted for print.  No two shoes are exactly the same, there may be fabric differences between pairs.  Expect up to a 15% movement between your preview and the actual product.

Difference between products

We do our best to make your design as close to the mockup as possible, however due to the nature of the printing process and the difference with each and every shoe, there will be variances from custom design illustrations and mockup images.  Illustrations are a guide only.  Prints to white canvas are cured with heat to lock the colour in, this may result in a slight fade to the ink but the image will be permanently set to the canvas.  We are printing on a post-manufactured product, there are differences from pair to pair. Our printing templates include a bleed for this purpose, which can result in minor discrepancies with layout and placement. There may also be slight inking discrepancies and minor blemishes.  As printing occurs on a horizontal plain, the back strip cannot be printed on and there may be fading on the rounded part of the heel with minor warping particularly with horizontal lines.

Shipping

What are your shipping costs?

Shipping costs are stated at checkout.  If we receive return parcels for reasons of the supplied address being incorrect or uncollected mail your parcel is forfeit after 5 business days.  If you contact us within that time we may be able to reship at your cost.

Non-Delivery or Damaged goods?

If your delivery is missing we can lodge an enquiry as to the status of your parcel.  If you have requested a safe drop for your parcel you are responsible for the parcel and delivery is deemed to be completed.  Australia Post records proof of delivery for both signature on delivery and safe drop parcels.  If the postal service deems the item lost in transit your purchase will be refunded.

Items are inspected prior to shipment.  If you believe your goods to be damaged please contact us.  In an attempt to cut down on waste we will ship your customised shoe in its original box.  This is enough to protect the product while saving the environment from excess packaging materials.

Where do you ship to?

We ship to New Zealand, United Kingdom, Canada and the United States.  We can accommodate shipping outside of these areas and recommend obtaining your own quote for any customs duties before ordering.

How long?

Our standard domestic shipping takes between 2-6 business days from dispatch depending on location.  Express deliveries are 1-2 business days from dispatch within the Australia Post specified express postal zones.  Remote location deliveries can take longer. All orders are shipped from Brisbane, you can find an estimate for your delivery at auspost.com.au.

*These times are a guide only and do not take into account any force majeure.  We are not responsible for delivery times, if your parcel is advised to be lost by the postal system you will be reimbursed for the cost of your parcel.

General

Product Care

We do not recommend using a washing machine for cleaning shoes. If necessary, use a cloth soaked in warm water and a mild soap to wipe any excess mess from the shoes.  Alway test the cleaning method on a small area first.

Other clothing can be washed using the washing machine following the label tag.  Printed shirts should be washed inside out to preserve the print.

Do you offer returns or exchanges?

If you choose to order a plain shoe we accept a return or exchange within 14 days, shipping is at the expense of the customer.  We do not offer returns or exchanges on custom printed products.  Our shoes are sourced directly from Converse and are inspected for any issues prior to printing.

Do you offer bulk orders for businesses?

Yes! If you have a sizeable corporate order we recommend to contact us directly rather than order through the editor.

Sizing?

Standard Converse product sizing applies.  You can find sizing HERE.

How do I contact you?
